Chia Seed Pudding

Mood tengah rajin, so hari hari ada entry. Nanti kalau demam liat nak update sampai berminggu baru muncul. Hari ini saya masukkan entry berkaitan Chia Seed. Dulu dulu saya ingatkan Chia Seed tu sama atau benda yang sama dengan Biji Selasih. Apa taknya, bentuk dan keaadaannya sekali imbas serupa. Tetapi bila dibelek dan ditenung memang berlainan.Tetapi bila direndam di dalam cecair ia kelihatan sama seperti biji selasih yang direndam di dalam air yang biasanya kita campur di dalam air sirap.

Saya selalu campurkan chia seed ke dalam overnight oats untuk sarapan. Atau campurkan ke dalam minuman. Chia seed boleh didapati di pasaraya tertentu seperti Jaya Grocer atau kedai yang menjual barangan organik.

A 100-gram serving of chia seeds is a rich source of the B vitamins thiamine and niacin (54% and 59%, respectively of the daily value (DV), and a good source of the B vitamins riboflavin and folate (14 and 12%, respectively). The same amount of chia seeds is also a rich source of the dietary minerals calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, and zinc (>20% DV). In 2009, the European Union approved chia seeds as a novel food, allowing up to 5% of a bread product's total matter.
Chia seeds may be added to other foods as a topping or put into smoothies, breakfast cereals, energy bars, granola bars, yogurt, tortillas, bread, made into a gelatin-like substance, or consumed raw.[11][12][13][14] The gel can be used to replace as much as 25% of egg content and oil in cakes while providing other nutrients





Chia Seed Pudding

Bahan bahan
3 sudu besar Chia Seed
125 ml santan
70 ml air

Bahan sampingan

Hirisan pisang
Madu
Almond nibs/nuts

Cara cara
1. Campurkan Chia seed, santan dan air. Kacau sebati dan biarkan semalaman di dalam peti sejuk.
2. Hidangkan chia seed puding bersama sama dengan hirisan pisang, madu dan almond nibs. Anda juga boleh pelbagaikan bahan sampingan seperti buah mangga, apple, strawberry dan sebagainya.
